New album in the works - October 16, 2008
The last couple of months, I've been recording what will become an Andy Hawk & The Train Wreck Endings album.
The band (Chuck Bordelon on bass, Gary Rudinsky on lead guitar, and Branden Hickman on drums) has helped through much of the project, as has local musician-extraordinaire Steve DeVries, who's lent his terrific mandolin, banjo, and harmonica skills to the album.
The release date has not been set, but look for it sometime in January or early-February.

Train Wreck Endings at King's Court - June 16, 2008
Fun night last Saturday (June 14) with The Train Wreck Endings' first full show together. We had the luck of finding Stu Robb from Toronto in crowd. He literally came out of the crowd and played a remarkable harmonica on a few blues tunes, and sang lead on another.
Sean Cunningham (aka Arrowhead) opened again and threw in a nice mix of originals and covers.
CD Release Show goes well - April 12, 2008
The April 5 show at King's Court Tavern to officially release my 4th cd - "Here It Is" - was a success. Sean Cunningham opened and brought an enthusiastic crowd. Kevin Knight added a short set in the middle of the show and brought down the house with Britney Spears' "Hit Me Baby One More Time"
Andy Hawk and the Train-Wreck Endings took the stage later and we had a strong set, thanks to Gary Rudinsky on lead guitar, Chuck Bordelon on bass, and Brandon Hickman on drums.
Great night! Thanks to all who came out and made it such a success. See you soon!
CD finished! - March 1, 2008
"Here It Is", my 4th CD, has been shipped to the plant. The CD release show April 5 promises to be a good one.
I had a lot of help from some very talented musicians, so I think you'll like the sound of this one.
Thanks to Chuck Bordelon (bass), Andy Belt (acoustic guitars, keyboards, backing vocals, arrangement help), Anthony Schneck (electric guitars), Sean Cunningham (piano), Gary Rudinsky (electric guitars), Allen Kave (electric guitars), Marnie Hawk (piano & backing vocals), & Kelly Gaitten (backing vocals)
CD Release Show April 5 - February 6, 2008
My fourth CD, "Here It Is" will be released April 5 at a show at King's Court Tavern in Leesburg. I'll have several guests playing as well. Come on out!
New Single! - November 26, 2007
A new single called "Sunshine Waterdance" will be released soon. Backed with the bluesy "Visit From Love", the single will be available in early 2008 and will previews an late-Spring album release.
Music Makers Contest in Nashville! - May 25, 2007
I'm competing in a Music Makers Contest at Cafe Coco in Nashville on June 7. Stay tuned for an update.
CD Release Show March 10 - February 25, 2007
My third CD, "Chasing the Sun", will be released on March 10 at a show at King's Court Tavern in Leesburg. The 11-song CD will be on sale for $7 during the show. Guitarist Anthony Schneck and percussionist Tommy Micheel will accompany me that night.
Third CD due in March - January 10, 2007
My third release will be out in early March. Check back for more information. I've had some great players help me on some of the tunes, so I'm excited about getting it out.
"Ferris Wheel" to get radio airplay - July 23, 2006
"Ferris Wheel" was selected for airplay on Desert Highway Radio through the Live365.com Internet Radio Stations. The stations cumulatively attract 3 MILLION visitors per month!
The station broadcasts 24/7 and will feature Roots Music (Blues, Folk Rock, Rock, Country, Gospel, or any combination of these terms).
Check out the site and listen for "Ferris Wheel" sometime in the near future.
Surreal Show - April 2, 2006
Saturday's (4-1-06) show at Ball's Bluff (King's Court, really) ended up in some sort of open jam with everything from Southern rock to freestyle rap and blues to speeded up versions of Hawk originals courtesy of Tommy Coupar and Joe Weeks, LCHS alums who joined in on drums and bass, respectively. Tim Greening pitched in a set, as did Mike Travers.
CD Release - January 23, 2006
My second CD (Something Farther Away...) was released at a show December 16 at The Daily Grind in Aldie, Virginia. Good crowd and brisk sales in a nice atmosphere. The CD (along with my first - Moth Crazy - is on sale at cdbaby.com and on iTunes and most music download services. Spread the word!
